"Rich guy Booth (Jeff Fahey) chooses Machete off the street for a really odd job: He's to assassinate campaigning state Sen. John McLaughlin (Robert De Niro), a right-wing xenophobe. Unfortunately, Booth's plan includes our hero being killed by a second assassin and scapegoated. Soon a wounded Machete is on the path of vengeance, enlisting the help of an 'unusual' priest (Cheech Marin), an immigrants' rights activist (Michelle Rodriguez), and even an ambitious INS agent (Jessica Alba). Mayhem ensues."
